WIDL logoWisconsin's Independent Dart Leagues - Your Coordinators

Ray Petersen

Ray was a founding member of WIDL and has been running leagues and tournaments for six years. Two of those years were spent not only with WIDL, but as League Coordinator for Madison Coin Machine Co., Inc. Being a bartender for ten years, bar manger for four, helps him see the different needs of different bars. This enables him to better assist you with the different aspects of your bar other than just darts. Ray has also worked with a computer since the first ones were available for home use. (note: He designed this web page, send him an Email and let him know what you think!) This gives him the ability to teach or help you how to use this important tool to increase your bar revenue. Combine that with his management and sales experience and he can be a great help to bar owners anywhere.

As a player Ray is on the low end of the spectrum and understands the needs of those players. They want competition as much as your "Top Dogs" do, just at their own level. They do not need to go out every week and get their butts kicked. Being he actually plays in a "Top Dog" league makes him aware of the constant challenge of keeping the tough competition playing in the league.

Jim "J.R." Raftery

J.R. has his own dart supply business. This brings a whole new aspect to WIDL, being able to fulfill your darting needs in a whole new way. Your bar can be set up to have these supplies ready and available for your players. Of course, players can buy their supplies straight through J.R. if needed. J.R. has also been a bartender and bar manager, though we won't say for how many years, it would give away his age. Running his own business, and bringing the first weekly dart tournament to WIDL makes him an excellent resource to any bar owner anywhere.

Being a dart player for many years, he has actually developed some skill at the game and can help any player. J.R. has played in every thing from morning leagues to couples leagues, so he understand the needs of all players.

Together these two are great combo to get your league going, improve your existing league, or run your tournament. They will even help you if all you need is a little help designing your bar's menu or deciding which flights to use.
